Building a Digital Marketing / Micro Private Equity Agency
Client Updates, Generately.ai, and Random Business Idea
If this is your first time coming across LPNV Insights, here is a quick intro. I run a small digital marketing agency that doubles as a micro portfolio company. Meaning, I try to partner with clients that have great businesses or introduce another revenue stream to share. This newsletter is a weekly update, which I consider building in public. I share as much as I can in hopes that you'll find something helpful or interesting that relates to your journey.
Update on Generately.ai - We're closing in on the final version of the landing page. This week was slow regarding new users due to a few client projects that required all hands. We'll create the latest demo video, curate Twitter content, and deploy the landing page over the next couple of days. We had a few good conversations with SEO agencies that are open to giving it a try, so we'll have to report back on their experience using generately.ai in a team setting. I'm still excited about what's to come and implementing a few marketing strategies. If you want to give it a try, feel free to email me Chris@lpnventures.com, and we'll activate all account features for free for one week.
Next, client updates: We signed two new clients this week, and we'll be developing landing pages and AdWords campaigns over the coming weeks for them.
Malibu Beach Gear - We're actively hiring sales reps who have relationships with target retail accounts across the U.S., as well as drop shippers and wholesalers. Here is the link to our Amazon listing to check out the first version: Malibu Beach Gear - Amazon
We'll have new sell sheets, and the updated version of the product will be coming by January if all goes well. We also have air-time with a national network in April - updates coming soon.
Random Business Idea: I saw an interesting idea in the Trends group on Facebook. A creative entrepreneur who runs a commercial cleaning company sent out carrot cakes with a handwritten letter to 100 or so target clients. I think about 85% of the recipients called to find out what the cake was all about. A small number of them turned into long-term cleaning contracts, an excellent return for cakes and delivery that probably cost between $15 and $25. This got me thinking - could there be a marketplace for this? The domain could be ColdCreativeOutreach.com or something, and there'd be some unique packages that you could order, upload a mailing list, and have the parcel delivered to your target client. Some creative packages might be muffins, ties, cakes, cupcakes, steak, etc. If you can consistently generate a 70%+ response rate with these packages, I think many small/new businesses would give it a shot and quickly become repeat customers.
