If this is your first time coming across LPNV Insights, here is a quick intro. I run a small digital marketing agency that doubles as a micro portfolio company. Meaning, I try to partner with clients that have great businesses or introduce another revenue stream to share. This newsletter is a weekly update, which I consider building in public. I share as much as I can in hopes that you'll find something helpful or interesting that relates to your journey.
Generately.Ai
We've gained a few early users but fell short of our 2021 goal. We have brought on a new lead generation team member to set appointments with agency owners, SEO specialists, bloggers, and small business owners. We're excited to begin carrying out demos and implementing the feedback we receive from our early users. We'll also be exploring affiliate programs and distribution agreements with web-hosting providers, content creators, and agencies in the coming months. If you have an audience that might benefit from a tool like Generately, please feel free to contact us. Recurring commissions will be between 10 - 30%. Check it out here: Generately.ai
Client Updates
We're excited to announce that December was our highest grossing month to date. We're working with nine clients across various industries at an average spend of $884.38 per client. We've launched three new landing pages, three Adwords campaigns, two maintenance retainers, and one consulting contract. However, we failed to renew one client's contract, which hurts, but luckily the client just wanted to edit the terms and continue working together. Although it's a small book of business, we're proud of our retention rate and the results we've generated at this point.
If you have a product, service, or idea, contact us! We're happy to work on a strategic roadmap with you to begin generating sales or scaling past your revenue targets. https://lpnventures.com/work-with-us/
Malibu Beach Gear
We're now working with four different sales agencies across Florida and California who will be offering the Malibu Beach Gear Personal Cooler Tote Bag to their retail accounts. We're finalizing the details and aiming for a May launch date with an extensive US-based consumer network. We're having a lot of trouble with getting listed on Wayfair, and they have been less than helpful. Their onboarding and new product upload process need some work. Hopefully, by next week we'll be live. Check out the latest product tags that'll be attached to each bag.
Random Business Idea
This idea comes from the increase in doomsday preppers across the United States. Here are some interesting statistics from a 2018 FEMA survey of 5,000 households broken-down on theprepared.com
Self-reliant folks make about 10% more income per year than the average person, but they set aside over 60% more savings for emergencies.
If we conservatively assume 1.5 adults per household, that means there are over 10 million individual American preppers. That jives with the 10-20 million number we often estimate.
31% of preppers are women, and we believe that number is growing. (Around half of TP's community identifies as female.)
The idea is to apply the subscribe and save model to survival products based on key input from the end consumer. This would be a complete approach instead of just a backpack with medical products, water purification, flashlights, etc. Customers will enter information such as the number of people in their house, how many months they want to be prepared for truly, the level of disaster they wish to prepare for, etc. Then, over the next 12 months, they'd receive packages filled with an assortment of items that satisfy all of their requirements.
